School-Wide Positive Behavior Expectations
Safe, Respectful, Responsible
Our teachers and staff believe that an orderly school climate is necessary to ensure that students are afforded the best opportunities to excel academically, socially, and emotionally. Good behavior is important to the educational process not only in the classroom, but also in the cafeteria, hallways, bathrooms, playground and buses, during assemblies, and on field trips. The SGE staff has a school-wide Positive Behavior and Interventions Support (PBIS) program to teach our students positive behaviors. Our school-wide expectations are integrated within the theme of Safe, Respectful, Responsible. All students will learn these expectations and the guidelines for their application in all school settings. Students are recognized for positive behavior with both verbal and tangible reinforcements.
No Place for Hate
All six Wissahickon schools are proud to be designated as No Place for Hate for the 2024-2025 school year. This incredible achievement reflects the unwavering commitment of our building leaders, students, and staff to fostering inclusive and welcoming environments.
